The Parents’ and Citizens' Association is a group of community minded people, parents and citizens, who take on a more formal role to assist the school in providing:

  • Feedback on school policies and activities.
  • Additional resources to be used to enhance student learning.
  • Parents with opportunities to be involved in their child's education.

The Parents’ and Citizens’ Association is designed to work with the principal and the school community in a productive partnership to achieve the best possible outcomes for students.

Meetings of the Upper Brookfield State School Parents’ and Citizens’ Association are held every month unless otherwise advised through the school newsletter. All parents are invited to become members of the Parents’ and Citizens’ Association and are warmly welcomed at the meetings and encouraged to become actively involved in the school. Please check the website calendar for meeting dates.

Meetings provide a forum for discussion on a variety of issues related to the school, its students and curriculum.

The Parents’ and Citizens’ Association fulfils a major role in the school through fundraising activities which are also important social events. They also organise social activities for the benefit of the school and the school community.  The Parents’ and Citizens’ Association provide services such as Fun Food Friday.

Joining the Parents’ and Citizens’ Association is one of the best ways to show your children how much you value their education and how interested you are in what they do. You are demonstrating to your children how committed you are to helping students and your school community. Participating in Parents’ and Citizens’ Association activities can also help you to form friendships with other parents and carers and feel a part of your school community.
